Mark McCaughrean | The work on comparing the VLT & JWST images & measuring the proper motions to get the velocities was done as part of a master's thesis by Merel Reitsma from Leiden University who worked with me here at ESTEC over the last year as part of a joint programme between the university & ESA. Merel is a co-author on the Nature paper as a result. Here's the relevant plot from her thesis.
